About

I enjoy a nice blend of physics, mathematics and computer science.
In particular, I am interested in quantum computing, lasers (hence the icon), deep learning and neural architecture (AI before it was buzz-worded), computer vision and more.
On the side, I enjoy music, language learning and gaming as an art form, look out for stuff in the 'Featured' tab. References may be sprinkled throughout the website, so look out for them.

Why IR?

I like when names have meanings. Especially when they have multiple meanings, and even more if they are connected yet so different.
To me, IR is both Infra Red, representing the side of me that is curious about physics and the world, and Intermediate Representation, representing the more formal computer science side interested in compilers, static analysis, formal verification and proofs etc.
Sometimes I extend IR to infram, which rolls of the tongue.

Here's a list of more related meanings I can think of:

• Information Retrieval - A core concept in computer science, as knowing how to store data and retrieve it well is sometimes key. Think of search engines, data structures, RAG and context management for agentic systems etc.
• Inertial Reference - A frame of reference where newtonian physics apply without any additional terms.
• Ionizing Radiation - Generalizing the light spectrum implications towards all kinds of high energy waves.
• Intelligent Runtime - Sounds like a great idea for a software project :)
• Infrastructure + RAM - I like running things directly on hardware, and learning how execution works beyond software and what optimizations can arise from it.
